Berry Picking

Berry picking is a big thing in sweden during july-september, it´s a great way to get out into nature.

These are the three berrries we can find, depending on the season:

Cloudberries
Cloudberries or “hjortron” grows in wetland and is called the gold of the forest. Cloudberry contains omega-3 fats and a lot of vitamin C, they are delicious to eat and is often used in desserts.

Lingonberries
Swedes eat the most lingonberries  in the world, the berries contain dietary fibre, vitamin A and C, and magnesium. Lingonberries are really easy to pick, and are easy to find. They are often used in traditional swedish dishes such as meatballs.

Blueberries
The blueberries is also called a “super berry” due to the high content of vitamins, fibre, minerals and antioxidants.
